Panchawati Yogashram and Nature Cure Center (PYNCC) had planned for bigger events than the last year in Tihar Jail ensuring higher participation of inmates, staff, and volunteers. This helped more people to connect with Yoga and at the same time to feel honored for having their event appear in the record books again. Last year, event organized by PYNCC in Tihar jail got recorded in the “Limca Book of Records”for maximum participation in yoga event by inmates.
The event from the beginning turned to be a great success as huge participation by inmates was observed throughout the month long training sessions. Moreover, overwhelming number of inmates have shown their keenness to take admission in Yoga Teachers Training Course (YTTC) as well, which is the most encouraging part of the entire process.
In fact, the theme of this year’s event was to provide a sense of achievement and a required platform to those inmates who have completed their Yoga Teachers’ Training course conducted by Panchawati Yogashram and Nature Cure Center in all 10 jails of Tihar Jail Complex.
PYNCC planned for them to perform/demonstrate Yoga Protocol (as issued by ministry of AYUSH) on their respective stage in the main event held on June 21, 2016 and become an inspiration to other inmates. Mahamandaleshwar MaartandPuri Ji, Mahamandleshwar Bhupender Giri Ji and Shri Sudhir Yadav Ji– DG Tihar jails were amongst the Guest of Honor at the main venue at Jail no 1.
